What five fashion girls are wearing for Halloween
If it’s good enough for 40,000 followers
Fed up of pumpkins, cat ears and sexy witches? You need to think outside the box to impress this Halloween.
Anyone can pop to Smiffys, grab some fake blood and tear up a t-shirt, but if you’re bored of those basic bitch “outfits”, be inspired by these fashionista’s costumes.
Em, 21, Leeds Uni
Em – a full-time blogger at EmTalks and the founder of LVNDR – has won awards from Cosmopolitan and Samsung. Her 46,000 Instagram followers are lapping up this skeleton outfit, which is topped off with her sultry dark eyes.
The fourth year Broadcast Journalism student said: “I’ve gone for the skeleton vibe, and my outfit was £16 from eBay. I went to the Gleam Halloween party in London, but in Leeds I’ll be going to Goodlife.”
Jess, 21, London
Jess is a fashion and features writer living in London, and a blogger at Wolf In The City. Her sexy vampire look gives a hint of cleavage, but the red eyes let you know she’s not one to be messed with.
She said: “I’m channelling vampire style because I wanted something not-so-OTT and a little bit fashion. I’m wearing a flared catsuit, velvet choker and platform boots from ASOS, and a bit of a vampy make-up look. I’ll be going to a party in Manchester with some of my best friends.”
Tanya, 22, London
Tanya has used MAC products to create cuts on her face and kept her outfit dark and vampy with black lace. The fashion stylist – whose Instagram can be found here – blogs for Tanya Varma Stylist and picked her outfit up from American Apparel.
She said: “The dress is from American Apparel, underwear is from Rigby and Peller and the boots are ASOS. The cut on my face is self made using MAC’s finest cosmetics. I have a few options this Halloween including a house party and two nights (BARE and Found), so will probably just go on a spontaneous adventure.”
Stephi, 21, Liverpool
Stephi, a fashion and lifestyle blogger at Stephi LaReine, studies Graphic Design at Chester. Her 30,000 Instagram followers love her mermaid hair, which makes for a perfect Zombie Mermaid look.
She said: “This Zombie Mermaid look was inspired by my long rainbow hair, and is a combination of Disney and Fairytale mermaids with a spooky twist. For Halloween I’m heading into Liverpool to break the world record for skeletons in one place.”
Daisy, 23, London
Daisy is keeping it simple this Halloween with a classic Wednesday Addams look. The marketing assistant, who blogs at I Am Daisy Alice, has previously worked with ASOS and French Connection.
She said: “This year my outfit is a little more subtle as I have to travel to Kent in it. I’ve gone for the Wednesday Addams vibe with this playsuit from Topshop, dark eye makeup, plaits and pale skin. My Halloween plans are to have an old-school spooky sleepover with a few of my best friends.”
Rebecca, 23, Essex
Rebecca is a style blogger at It’s Cohen, lives in Essex and works in London for Oasis. She has interned at fashion website Stylight in Munich, and is going all Pirates of the Caribbean this year.
She said: “I’m going for the Dead Sailor look. This is what happens when you put all your effort into one costume, forgetting you’ve got something else to go to until you’re functioning on no sleep and a hangover. I watched a skeleton tutorial on YouTube. The make up is done with Primark pen eyeliner and Clintons white face paint, and I’ve painted on some nautical tattoos.”
