Meet Made in Chelsea’s newest member, Jessica Dixon
She’s designing a lingerie line for flat-chested girls
Jessica Dixon will be joining the cast of Made in Chelsea this year.
The 19-year-old is starting her own lingerie business, and is planning to apply to university to study art next year.
She’s just finished sixth form at Millfield in Somerset, and was at an all girls school in Dorset before that. “School really wasn’t for me,” she admits. “I was constantly in trouble but had fun.”
Now, she’s living in Fulham, next to the river, with co-star Tiffany Watson. “For shopping, I love to walk around Harrods and Harvey Nichols. I love the Kings Road too. Also, the vintage shops in Notting Hill are dreamy.
“Most of my clothes are from Zara and All Saints, they’re my favourite high street shops. I also love Zadig and Voltaire, Rag and Bone and Club Monaco.”
She told me her style is influenced by European fashion. “I love it. France and Spain are big influences. I like to keep my outfits simple without much colour or pattern.”
Her favourite places to eat are Kurobuta on the King’s Road and the Ivy Chelsea Garden. “It has the cutest garden to sit in the summer,” she says. “For nights out I’ll go to Raffles, Bodo’s Schloss and Cirque.
“I’ve got quite a few summer plans. I love festivals and never miss Glastonbury, so I’ll be going there. Hopefully I’ll be in France for yacht week and I’ll go to Ibiza too.”
She plans to launch her lingerie business in the summer. “It’s aimed at young teens and flat-chested girls,” she says. “It’s designed for people who want to wear pretty underwear without having the pressure of wires and padding. It’s all going to be very elegant and French-inspired: all lacy bralettes and underwear. I’ll be going into swimwear at some point, too.
“I decided to start it almost a year ago, as I wasn’t at university at the time. I love art and was designing a lot so it all just fell into place.”
