These are all the petitions you can go and sign to support no detriment policies
Most petitions have over 2,000 signatures already
Now more than ever before it has become clear that students need academic support systems in place such as safety nets and no detriment policies. As a result, petitions have popped up across a number of UK unis.
The reasons for the reintroduction of these policies are being flagged by students across the country. They have come as a reaction to the government’s decision to place us in a third lockdown.
Whilst many universities have previously stated that they would not be offering ‘blanket policies’ for this academic year, students are fighting to get them back considering the circumstances they have been left in.
Here’s a list of all the petitions you can sign to support students fighting for no detriment.
The national petition
Almost 8,000 students have signed the national ‘SAVE OUR GRADES’ petition that was started by an Exeter student. The petition is looking to achieve nationwide mitigation for students because we need it now more than ever.

Not only are they asking for the safety net to be reinstated but for “other mitigations” including revised assessments, deadlines, fees, support over both university and private accommodation costs, and further costs where the value could not be maximised, e.g. gym membership.
