Weather warning for rain and hail over the weekend

It’ll be like a tropical storm

Despite reports earlier this week claiming that Oxford will be hotter than many parts of Spain, The Met Office have now issued a yellow weather warning, which is not good news.

Although we will still get the heat that was anticipated, with temperatures potentially reaching 25 degrees, a yellow weather warning means Oxford is in store for rain, hail and lightening in some areas.

According to The Met Office, the weather “may be heavy with the potential for lightening and small hail” which does not bode well for people planning out their weekend BBQ’s or what drinks they were going to treat themselves with on South Park after exams.

Students were anticipating sunny afternoons and beer gardens – let’s hope the rain and hail holds off for the rest of the weekend.
