This Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of a Brooklyn-born, Jewish factory supervisor accused of murder. This riveting musical combines pop-rock, folk, R&B and gospel styles – definitely something for everyone.

Addressing protest, risk, personal sacrifice, and fanaticism, this play has at its centre a real women with hopes, beliefs, a feather boa and a deadpan sense of humour. Worth checking out for something a little different.

Two girls, Satsuke and Mei, befriend a group of forest spirits when they move into a country house. The animated Studio Ghibli classic celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year, yet its magical wonder hasn’t aged a day.

James DeMonaco’s horror flick posits a society that purges itself by legalising all crime for one night a year. Amidst the carnage, Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey find themselves the target of a particularly bloodthirsty mob.

Six people plan to have dinner together but their plans are continuously disrupted. Luis Buñuel’s film is considered among the masterpieces of French surrealism, winning an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1972.

Internationally recognised Cambridge-based Hip Hop arts organisation SIN Cru present Urban SINfonie, the closing party & battle jam for their SINstitute of Hip Hop Arts Festival 2013. We’re not sure what that means, but it could be good.

Cambridge’s largest free arts festival returns with music, food, arts & crafts, a short film festival, and the Cambridge Community Circus as a new addition. The fair gets up to 30,000 visitors in a day when the weather’s good, so head over and check it out.

2) EXHIBITION: FASHIONING SWITZERLAND

An exhibition of Swiss watercolours and prints of Swiss women in regional costume by the Bernese artist Markus Dinkel. It also includes other artists’ picturesque views of the Swiss landscape. Not the most exciting exhibition we’ve heard about this term, but we’re sure it’ll be pretty.
