Around 12:45pm this afternoon a body was found in Lady Herbert's Garden next to Millennium View accommodation.

The area around the Transport Museum and the park has been cordoned off as a result.

West Midlands Police released the following statement: "Police are currently on Hales Street in Coventry city centre, after the body of a man was found just after 12.45pm this afternoon (Friday 27 September).

"Enquiries continue to establish the exact circumstances and road closures have been put in place in the immediate area."
