Best Memory with DU Basketball?: Steph Rogers dunking in practice. We had purple and white balloon arches set up on the court for her to run through. Everyone started slow clapping for her.
And she just casually ran through the balloon arches and dunked. Easily one of the greatest things I’ve ever witnessed.
Greatest achievement in basketball?: I was awarded MVP of my Colgate University basketball team and was chosen for the Patriot League All-Conference team in my senior season.
Funniest moment at a DU Basketball social?: Probably the Ugly Christmas Sweater social just in general. The outfits were inspiringly festive and an outrageous basketball dance session broke out in Jimmy Allen’s. The whole night was hilarious.
Top on your Durham bucket list?: Fighting for and winning that BUCS championship with my team. I’ve been really lucky to be here at Durham two years in a row and we got so close in playoffs last year. It was devastating.
This year I want to win even more. Particularly because of my teammates this season who inspire me to be better every single day. Not just on the court but in every aspect of my life.
I’m so blessed and grateful to be on this team with the opportunity to fight for the BUCS championship with these girls and I honestly cannot wait for playoffs to start.
