Hannah Berney voted off The Voice

Sadly, Hannah Berney has left The Voice.

This week saw Exeter Uni’s Hannah Berney leave BBC’s The Voice.

She got through to the top 5 of Danny's Team.

Hannah opted to sing 'Cry Me a River'  with a jazz/pop mash up angle. Many of you have enquired where Hannah's dress came from. We can reveal it was a customised Urban Outfitters dress. Unfortunately we won't be seeing any replica's in  Arena on Thursday night then.

Back to the action and the judge’s comments were mostly positive and supportive.

However, controversially Jessie J complained that although Hannah’s voice was “flawless”, Jessie was distracted by the number of dancers.

On Sunday night we saw Danny, Hannah’s mentor, have to choose between Hannah and Max Milner.

After he chose Max, we caught up with the remarkably upbeat Hannah to see what she thinks and what her future plans are.

HB: “I'm gutted but I think it's understandable. Whilst I was pretty upset because I'd given my best performance I could, I know there could have been so many reasons I was in the bottom two. I felt that perhaps the fact my first two performances weren't as outstanding as others were, or it was when people tuned in, (the bottom four were the first four to perform) some have suggested the song wasn't liked, or people agreed with Jessie's comments – I'm not going to dwell on it when the opportunities available to me now are awesome!”

SB: What are these other opportunities?

HB: “My plans are exactly the same, just starting a bit sooner than planned! I'll continue to write and finalise my album, whilst looking for the right deal for me, before heading into the studio to produce it. I have no time scale, but don't plan on rushing or pushing anything. I'll now be doing my exams next week and gigging this summer.”

SB: What was your favourite part of the whole show?

HB: “My fave moment in the competition was my last performance, I got to do a song I'd chosen and loved!”

SB: Any comment to all your fans?

HB: “I had such a wicked time, but more than ever, massive, massive thank you to the Uni. I can't tell you how much I appreciated everyone's support, and all the lovely messages I've had when I left. See you in Arena after my last exam!”

It’s such a shame to see the very likeable and talented Hannah leave the show, but The Drop promises to keep you up to date with any future ventures of Hannah’s.

Her fellow Mama Stone’s player, Adam Isaac, is still in the competition and is due to perform again this week.
