Prince On The Lash

The Duke of Cambridge, putting aside his royal responsibilities, is in Exeter this weekend for a boozy stag-do.

Bring out your bunting and balloons, Exeter residents: Prince William is in town.

Spotted boarding a train to Exeter St. Davids alongside a group of poshly-dressed pals, His Royal Highness, with permission from the missus, the Duchess of Cambridge, is here for a stag-do in a rare public outing since becoming a parent a few weeks ago.

Described by one passenger as “a right bunch of lads,” the fifteen-strong group traveled via private carriage and, according to eyewitness accounts, spent most of the three-hour journey consuming the booze they had brought with them.

“I walked through the carriage on the way to the buffet car,” one traveler told The Sun, “and spotted William with a bunch of chaps (one of whom was sporting gold-coloured lamé shorts) swigging beer like it was going out of fashion.”

Our future King, judging from these reports, an alleged cider fan, may well be in need of a strong hangover cure over the next day or so. If you also need some post night-out nutrition, Wills, here is The Tab’s own tourist guide to the best kebabs in Exeter.
