S Club 7 singer Bradley McIntosh parties with Leicester’s students following SU gig.
Wednesday’s Red Leicester saw 90’s pop sensations S Club 7 take to the stage to perform a selection of their greatest hits to the awaiting Sports and Society faithful. Their hits ‘Reach’ and ‘S Club Party’ are regulars on the Red Leicester playlist, but Leicester’s students flock to get a glimpse of the singers they grew up listening to. Little did some of the crowd know, their night was about to get a whole lot better.
ain’t no party like an S Club party
Following their gig, it seems that the performers decided to go their separate ways with band members Jo O’Meara and Paul Cattermole leaving the venue, whilst Bradley partied the night away with some of Leicester’s students until beyond 3am.
Dream come true…
Bradley spent some time in the smoking area of the O2 Academy chatting to members of some of the University’s sports clubs, including Ladies’ Hockey and the Boat Club, cementing himself as a firm favourite amongst Leicester’s students.
Crowd favourite … Bradley chats to Leicester’s sportsmen and women
Alex Lamb, a member of the University Boat Club told The Tab: “He had a bottle of Moet and was pouring some to the people that asked. He was really willing to have his photo taken. He’s a nice guy, plenty of time for people.”
Boat Club Social Sec Kyfer Stewart said: “He told us that he likes meeting the fans, but he said he might not return next year. He said he’ll be busy next year and he’s getting to old for it.”
Perhaps Bradley will be swapping the stage for a backroom role in the recording studio as a producer. The 32-year-old has previously produced songs for JLS, Gak Jonze and former Sugababe, Mutya Buena.
The Tab also heard that Bradley was swamped by fans who wanted pictures with the singer. “He was on his way to the toilet but got flooded with people wanting a picture. It must have been a good 10 minutes before he could actually make it through.”
