Manchester Shoots Up in University Rankings

Our university closes in on the premiership

| UPDATED

Manchester has been ranked as the 31st best university in the UK, according to The Guardian’s University Guide for 2014.

It seems like a low standing, but we’ve actually climbed 10 places from 2012 and 2013 – in both of these years, we were in position 41.

So if this trend continues, we should be topping the table in 2017 – be afraid Oxbridge.

We’re looking up!

Universities we beat this year include King’s College London, Leeds, Liverpool and Sheffield.

And we’re ranked 2nd in the country for American Studies and Anthropology, so things are looking up.

The university itself said they don’t comment on league tables.
