Gen Sec candidate aims to win with punderful campaign slogan

Sorcha Floyd is re-running in the SU exec elections and she’s asking us to ‘Think Floyd’, get it?

After winning the role of Campaigns and Citizenship Officer last March with 3016 votes, Socha Floyd is now in the elections to become the General Secretary of the Union. The Pink Floyd pun is back.

Floyd said “Having worked on the Exec team for a year I have a vision as to how the Union can best improve for our students and how we can hold the University to account for their actions! My manifesto points are strong but achievable and I have a proven track record of fulfilling my campaign promises. I believe I have the skill set, experience and vision needed to be your GenSec.”

You’ll probably catch her bobbing around campus with her face in the hole prop.

Voting closes tomorrow.
