Newcastle RAG Take Me Out is back

Let the Toon see the totty

Take Me Out has become a staple of Saturday night TV: it’s the show we all love – or at least love to hate.

But you know what’s better than watching random strangers humiliate themselves?  Watching people you vaguely know – or maybe even one of your actual friends – embarrass themselves in their quest for true love.

Well, luckily for you, you can do just that this week as the annual RAG week Take Me Out returns.

On Thursday 2nd February at 7pm, 22 panellists and eight contestants from our very own university will be attempting to get themselves a date.

Anyone lucky enough to find love will be whisked away to Newcastle’s very own Isle of Fernando’s – a.k.a. 97 & Social.

As well as providing you with some entertainment at the expense of the others, the event will also raise money for charity.

As with all RAG week events the profits are split evenly between The Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust, Age UK Gateshead, The Great North Air Ambulance, Centrepoint, 353 and TUSK.

Tickets, which are £4 for RAG members and £6 for non-members, will be available on the door on the night.
