Our fashion gals show you how to wear one of Spring/Summer’s must-haves.
A key piece that is filling the shelves in anticipation for Spring/Summer 2014 is the kimono jacket. Whether it’s made of a silky material, cotton or chiffon, it’s the perfect accompaniment to many outfits, and is readily adaptable for both day and evening-wear.
We’ve seen many beautiful variations in Topshop, ASOS and on the MISSGUIDED website, but here are three examples from ARK, Zara and Ruby Room- the perfect pieces to add a splash of colour and an extra light layer to any Spring/Summer style!
This black chiffon kimono has lace panels on the sleeves, and a colourful embroidery on the front. It’s very light-weight and comfortable, introducing different materials and a little colour to an all-black outfit.
This piece is perfect for summer as it is super-light and made of breathable cotton, so will be great to take on holiday and layer over a swimsuit or a day-time outfit. The beautiful cream and pink colours will add a touch of summer to any outfit!
This kimono is made of a lovely silky material, and would be great with a plain top and jeans to add a little more colour and texture. Also great to wear on a night out!
