A puppy petting day is coming to Sheffield in May
The perfect way to relieve exam stress
Stacie MooreExam season taunts us all. It’s distressing, depressing, and can turn even the most laid-back of us into frantic messes.
However, we have great news. University Cribs, the student property search engine, have truly blessed us. They’re giving us the opportunity to pet literally the cutest puppies on earth (no exaggeration) in order to help us to keep our composure during the next exam period.
As stated by University Cribs themselves, it’s actually scientifically proven that pets help to reduce stress and improve our mental well-being. Animal Smart confirm that this claim is no deception: "Playing with or petting an animal can increase levels of the stress-reducing hormone oxytocin and decrease production of the stress hormone cortisol."
So, petting adorable puppies is not only quality procrastination, but also practically essential for our mental health.
Puppy petting is set to take place at O2 Academy Sheffield on May 25th, however, the date is provisional, so make sure to look out for updates!
If you’re concerned about ethics, don’t worry – it is ensured that these delightful pups all come from loving homes and are treated well. University Cribs have assured us that there will be a trustworthy team present to ensure that the puppies are happy, respected and cared for throughout the event.
