BREAKING: Bank robbery and hostage situation in progress at Alabama Credit Union
The university is telling people to avoid the area
Update, 12:04pm: The university has reported, “Suspect in custody and hostages appear to be OK.” They’ve issued an all clear but said it may take some time for streets to reopen to traffic.
Police are responding to reports of a bank robbery and hostage situation at the Alabama Credit Union.
The FBI is on the scene at 220 Bryant Drive and are assisting Tuscaloosa PD.
