In new Economist rankings, BC falls to 590

The Economist joins the college rankings party

The good news is that we’re still higher than BU.

Last week, The Economist released its own form of college rankings. It compares the expected median salary 10 years after graduation with the actual median salary of alum 10 years out.

The highest ranks go to colleges whose graduates outperform their expected salaries by the largest margin. The number one ranking goes to Washington and Lee, whose graduates earned $22,337 higher than their expected median salary. Harvard comes in fourth, with graduates surpassing their expected median salary $12,734.

BC casually rolls in at 590th place. This means that 10 years after graduation, BC alum are earning $185 more than what’s predicted – ever rising to new heights.

As usual, BU students are over-promising and under-delivering. They rank 791st, and they’re actually earning less than their predicted median salary – by $1,109.

Drop that like it’s hot
