‘Everything is safe now’ say cops after confusion at Aqua Club
Police are on the scene
Police have given the all-clear after confusion at Aqua Club this evening.
Cops cars, helicopters, and fire engines are at the apartment complex near campus after rumors, unconfirmed at this time, of gunshots heard on campus.
A police spokesperson told The Tab: “Everything is safe now,” but added they were not at liberty to give further comment.
Taylor, a resident at Aqua Club, said: “My roommate was doing her homework and she believes she heard multiple gunshots, then minutes later she looked outside and saw the helicopter.
“They had searchlights down directly on our streets. Several cops flew threw property, and now we are looking through our windows but the drama is happening around the corner from us.
“We can just see cars trying to drive towards it and being redirected the other way. We definitely saw two cops on foot with flashlights. I’m pretty sure whatever is happening is concentrated around the corner right now.”
Posts on Yik Yak suggested shots were fired, although authorities have not been able to confirm this yet.
