We asked Georgetown: Will the increase of Netflix prices affect Netflix and chill

Netflix recently announced that they will be raising subscription prices for their standard montly plan by $1, up to $9.99.
The Tab went out and asked Georgetown students how they felt about rising Netflix prices and whether they thought it would affect the Netflix-and-Chill rate.

Do you think the Netflix price change will affect Netflix and chill?
“Probably not at all, everyone is still going to have Netflix.
“A show is best for a continuous Netflix and chill, and movies are more one-time Netflix and chill.
“I would probably watch a show that’s not too good – I’d get distracted. I’d never watch Scandal… Scandal is more important than Netflix and chill.”

“I’m okay the price as long as they start providing more services for us – more movies.
“I can’t say I’ve ever Netflix and chilled with someone, so I don’t really know. Girls like Gossip Girl and chick flicks right?”

Kathryn:
“I use my friend’s little sister’s account so [the price change] doesn’t really affect me.
“I’ve never Netflix and chilled, but I’d probably watch The Office.”
Alex:
“I use my mom’s Netflix… Hopefully my mom doesn’t get rid of it.”

Diana joked: “No, I’m not going to Netflix and chill with you, sorry it’s too expensive!”

“They are?!! What?! …No, because I don’t pay for it. If I did, that would suck. My whole family stole my brother’s password.”
Go-to Netflix and chill show: “I watched Band of Brothers – not my picking.”
Lucy:
“That’s not going to affect me at all in Netflix and chill department.
“I’ve never Netflix and chilled…I feel like no guy would like my shows. I’d probably watch One Tree Hill.”
