Now pro-Trump graffiti hits IU campus
Other students have defaced the originals to read ‘no to Trump’ and ‘Drumpf’
Today, Indiana University students noticed pro-Trump chalk writings in various locations around the IU Bloomington campus.
Found in the courtyard outside of Ballantine Hall
By late afternoon, many of the chalkings had already been defaced by students who clearly felt differently from the original inscribers.
The counter-chalking included defacement like the above referring to a recent Last Week Tonight with John Oliver segment revealing Donald Trump’s original family name was actually Drumpf.
Though it is still relatively early in the presidential campaign season, these chalkings indicate a noticeable polarization within the campus political climate. It is likely such displays of these opinions will only grow more prominent, more frequent, and presumably more diverse across campus as the election draws nearer.
