Bar crawls at IU are one of the drinking traditions I was most excited to turn 21 for. Dressing up like it’s Halloween and going around bar to bar and drinking with your friends? Count me in.

But you and your friends can’t just do any theme — it has to be legendary. Anyone can throw on a costume and call it a bar crawl, but the best bar crawl themes are a sign of the time you’re living in. What’s trendy? What are the best TV shows and movies right now?

This one is best to save for the fall and winter months so you can stay warm in your cape. Although, liquor blankets work too.

A classic back to school theme — it’s perfect when the nights are still warm. Boys, show off your muscles and dress up as Chief Tui or Maui, and girls, show off your bikini bod and dress up as Moana.
