Pitt ranked one of the top 200 schools in the world

We beat WVU

As if we needed reminding how great PittĀ is, we have officially been declared as one of the top 200 of universities in the world.

The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us at 142nd. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.

Beating our place of 145th last year, we also came ahead of rivals like WVU, Duquesne and Notre Dame. We even beat the Ivy League school Dartmouth, which came in at just 169th.

MIT, Stanford and Harvard all took the top spots for another year running.

The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
