The Student Government Board and CGS Student Government have provided all undergrad students a free subscription to the New York Times.
The announcement was made through a text sent to students. “Undergrads, check your email to activate your FREE NY Times membership for the coming year, curtosey of Student Government Board and CGS Student Government.”
An activation link was sent to everyone’s inbox. Without a subscription, there is a limited amount of articles you can view per month.
Access is included with any smartphone and tablet and from the New York Times app itself.
So far, it seems students have mixed feelings about the news.
