BREAKING: Armed man and ‘clown with knife’ reported near UC Berkeley
The person carrying a gun was reported near Greek row, according to Wildfire
There have been several reports in the last hour of a tall person allegedly dressed as a clown carrying a “relatively large knife,” as well as a person with a gun near Greek row.
The Wildfire safety alert app shows several user-uploaded notifications.
The updates, self-reported by students through the app, said:
7:35pm, 2248 Dwight Way: “Tall person dressed as a clown with a relatively large knife at Dwight and Ellsworth”
7:58pm, 2321 Dwight Way: “Heard some screams outside of my apartment, stay safe y’all”
8:07pm, 2607 Fulton St: “Someone with a gun seen near Pike on Piedmont. Please be safe!”
It has been reported that the person with a gun was spotted near Durant Ave and Piedmont.
A potential ‘clown sighting’ was first reported on Berkeley campus a week ago.
