School pride, dicks, ducks, and maybe a boob: the best of UCD Snaps
Who thought this was a good idea?
If you’ve been on campus for longer than a week, chances are you follow the unofficial UC Davis Snapchat account (@ucdxsnaps). And if you don’t, you really should.
The phenomenon known informally as “UCD Snaps” really took off about three months ago, coincidentally (or perhaps due to boredom) when winter quarter was just beginning. It began as fairly PC snaps of sunsets, people having fun around campus, complaining about the weather etc., but has taken a turn for the… dare I say, ratchet.

The type of snaps we’re seeing on UCD Snaps are fairly predictable. Dick pics and tit shots are always popular, as well as shots of the animals around campus.

During finals week, we got some great shots of people having breakdowns as well as some weird shit going down with furniture around campus.

Lately, however, we’ve seen a few recurring characters featured in the stories. One of them, known as “Rite Aid guy” works at the Rite Aid on Russell. I actually went in there the day before break and had a nice conversation with him – really lovely dude (remember me? I was buying acne cream LOL).

Another trend that’s been insanely popular is girls using the dog filter to give themselves adorable puppy ears and tongues.
