I crossed enemy lines and snuck into a USC Halloween party

Everyone was wearing bunny ears

Halloween is the perfect time to dress up as your favorite character and party until the dusk. We can all agree on the fact that Bruins know how to party but what about Trojans?

Me and my friends crossed the enemy borders at DTLA to find out.

From our inside sources we heard that the parties started around 11 pm so we arrived to the land of the Trojans around 10:45. Although we were early, all of the parties were already so packed.

Were we surprised? No.

We tried getting into several parties: they were either so packed that they didn’t let anyone in or they were getting shut down.

When we were about to lose hope, we finally found a good party.

The party scene at USC

People wearing onesies and bunny ears definitely dominated the party, but the best costume award of the party would probably go to the guy dressed up as the Trojan Mascot.

Everyone tried to take pictures with him and he definitely stole the spotlight.

As the UCLA girls, we took over the DJ booth and showed the USC students how to party. But we have to admit, the DJ was pretty pro and he knew how to make people turn up.

We were not the only Bruins crossing the enemy border to see what was going on the other side during Halloweek. In fact, one of my friend showed her Bruin pride in USC with her UCLA gear as her costume. Although she was warned by her friends that people might spill drinks over her because of her costume, she took the risk.

After our trip to the Trojan Land, I can definitely say that seeing another school’s party scene should be in your bucket list. Whether it is USC or any other school: get out there and see what other schools are doing.

The rivalry is always going to be real, but there is nothing wrong crossing borders to expand your horizons.
