Everything is back to normal the morning after the Powell fire
It’s as if it never happened
Last night students were evacuated from Powell Library after a lamp started smoking and caught fire yesterday. Today, everything is running business as usual and, if you weren’t there last night, you would never have even known it happened.
We reached out to Deputy University Librarian Susan Parker about the incident last night as she confirmed there was “no permanent structural damage, wires somehow crossed causing the fire I believe. University electricians spent two hours after the fire checking all the other wires to ensure safety and measure of improvement are still being looked at.”
So Powell returns to normal life, Red Bull fueled students on the verge of quitting college because of their LS class are in every corner- just like every other finals week.
