The most UMass things this week

You wanna be on top?

Think you have what it takes to be America’s next top UMass? You’re not wrong. True, the drunkest kid ever may not have made an appearance this week, but The Zoo certainly did not let us down.

From the horrors of spring class registration to the mega party, we’ve got you covered (UMass Amherst style that is).

Weather in Western Mass is still unreadable

What should I wear today?

Even UMass isn’t sure what’s going on.

“71 degrees at UMass Amherst on November 3” . . . go home weather, you’re drunk.

Speaking of go home you’re drunk

. . . and

. . .  and . . .

Oh wait, also this:

However, never fear! We have proof that there are still important things happening at UMass. SCROLL ON SOLDIER!

This week students at UMass Amherst participated in A Million Student March National Day of Action

Education should be free and a right, not a privilege.

On November 12th, UMass demanded tuition-free public higher education, cancellation of all student debt, and a $15/hr campus-wide minimum wage.

Other student issues were brought to light as well:

To the students of color at Mizzou: we, students at UMass Amherst, stand in SOLIDARITY with you. To those who would threaten their sense of safety, THE WORLD IS WATCHING YOU. ‪#‎InSolidarityWithMizzou‬

A big shout-out to the Zoo Animals for standing up for the rights of ALL students and keeping us UMass-proud!

Speaking of UMass-proud . . .

The UMass Men and Masculinities center has been making waves

Although it’s likely you’ve seen them around campus:

The UMass Men and Masculinities Center supports the development of healthy masculinities at UMass Amherst and beyond from male positive, multicultural and pro-feminist perspectives.

Stop by Berk almost any day to learn more about them!

And just remember, everyone can practice healthy masculinity! Even those our society has come to know as the prototypical “masculine” men, right hockey team?

P.S. sorry about your loss this week. But real men don’t mind losing, right?
