The remarkable last photos of Connor Cummings
You have to see these
Connor Cummings, beloved friend, son, brother, photographer ancd member of the UMass community, passed on the evening of December 30, 2015.
Connor’s story has gotten over 1,000 shares online through various articles, over 10,000 views, and over 3,000 people attended his wake in early January.
His stunning photography and impeccable spirit has touched the souls of many, and still continues to do so.
On the night that he fell through an opening in the scaffolding on the roof of a Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown, his camera somehow remained unscathed, so friends and family were able to get a glimpse into a few of the last beautiful things he saw.
These are some of the photos that Connor took on that night. Despite this being such a horrific and tragic accident, he left us with pictures that tell a story, and capture the essence of his positive living. And in this way, he lives on.
Connor has gained over 4,200 Instagram followers in the course of 2 weeks. His original goal, a few weeks before the accident, was to obtain 2,000. @consception
If you wish to see Connor’s art in person, there will be a public showing exhibit on Friday, February 5th from 4-6pm in the Studio Arts Building.
A remembrance service will be held in the Newman Center Chapel at 6pm. All faiths are encouraged to attend and remember Connor in all that he was, and all that his art continues to be.
Dimitri Olivares snapped this photo of Connor Cummings at a building near Times Square before they made their way to the top of the Four Seasons Hotel.
I love you, Cons. Thank you for giving us the gift of your art and your presence.
