Hostile man armed with ‘handgun’ last month related to ‘shredded vegetables’
Nothing like going to jail over lettuce and a BB gun
The on campus altercation that took place just over one moth ago, resulting in a shelter-in-place at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, happened after two Framingham men tried to sell a student “shredded vegetables” instead of weed.
Details about the fake pot came out at the bail hearing Tuesday.
Once the student realized what was happening, a fight broke out. The next day William McKeown, one of the Framingham men, was arrested after a student told police his name. McKeown then immediately outed his accomplice, Shawn Wyatt.
According to MassLive, Wyatt has pleaded not guilty to charges of armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery. The judge has set Wyatt’s bail at $15,000, and McKeown is out on $7,500 bail on the condition that he remain on house arrest.
