UNC is one of the most sleep deprived schools in America

Raise your hand if you need a nap

According to a sleep study by Jawbone, UNC is the 61st most sleep deprived school in America. You’re probably falling asleep in class right now.

A UNC student’s typical bedtime is around 1am on both weekdays and weekends, and our average sleep time is 6.95 hours on weekdays and 7.48 hours on weekends.

Bad news? We really don’t get enough sleep. Good news? We get more sleep than Duke – they come in at #40 most sleep deprived.

At least we’re not 1st, as Columbia students only get an average of 6.68 hours of sleep each night. That being said, we’re still allowed to complain about being tired in class.
