4 things we loved about the KAABOO music festival
Your official recap of the three-day music festival
KAABOO, a three-day music festival in Del Mar, took place last weekend just north of San Diego on the historic grounds of the Del Mar Racetrack. The event proved to be the ultimate weekend escape, offering a stellar lineup, craft libations, comedy events, art installations, and more. Below are some of our favorite parts of the gathering.

The Atmosphere
KAABOO provided a curated lineup and ambiance geared toward its predominantly 21+ crowd. While anyone under the drinking age could attend the festival, provided that they were accompanied by an adult or guardian, KAABOO focused on a more mature audience, gearing sponsorships, vendors, beer gardens, and amenities towards this demographic.
Libations were aplenty, seemingly around every corner. Shaded, air-conditioned seating areas were available at every main area of the festival. Sponsors such as Smirnoff and Ketel One pleased guests with free branded merchandise and a muddling station.

The Vendors
Other activations included a Kettle area, with brand representatives providing bags of chips the entire duration of the festival. Coola, a sun care company, set up small kiosks with a plethora of scented sunscreens for the festival attendees to apply in order to combat the sunny weather. HealthAde distributed free samples of their delicious, bubbly kombucha, and Sambazon offered acai bowls as the perfect pick-me-up for a midday snack.

The Indulgences
An entire section of the festival was dedicated to women’s indulgences, ranging from a custom flower crown booth to a hair styling station. The spot provided a shady place to relax and treat oneself to a massage, vitamin infusion, or derma skin treatment.

The Location
Located in beautiful Del Mar, the duration of the weekend saw nothing but clear skies. Getting to the festival was a breeze; KAABOO partnered with Uber for an easy way to arrive and depart from the grounds.
Entrance lines moved quickly, and designated Uber pick up stalls provided for a stress-free exit. The festival layout itself was also simple to navigate; a path connected the main stages, vendors, beer gardens, and art installations.

Now that we’ve experienced KAABOO first-hand, we know that it’s an event that cannot be missed. See you in 2018!
