Beyoncé has snatched more than just weaves
She’s back and changing the game again with a digital drop
Just the day after Queen Bey’s Super Bowl Halftime performance with Coldplay and Bruno Mars, her highness has blessed us all with a video and song titled Formation. This release is much like the 2013 release of her self-titled album Beyoncé in that.
Beyoncé directed the video, produced the song and cites her culture and background all while alluding to Hurricane Katrina atop a New Orleans Police car.
In the last lines of the song Bey says “You know you that Bitch when you cause all this conversation”, and she couldn’t be any more right. Within two hours of the video release, Beyoncé has become the number two trending topic worldwide on Twitter. The song has everyone talking, with varying opinions ranging from calling her an activist to calling her a racist.
How do you feel?
UT students not only have a lot to say about her new song but about her outstanding Super Bowl performance, where she announced her tour, that had people saying “Coldplay who?”
Thank you Bey for giving Black History Month a soundtrack and being the Queen of our generation.
