Drunk VSG candidate rushed to hospital after big Friday night out

He said it was no reflection on his ability to be a good president

Vanderbilt presidential candidate Jack drank too much before a party and had to be escorted to the hospital on Friday night.

He said he’s learning from his freshman year’s mistakes, especially in relationship to his candidacy and to taking responsibility for his actions.

He said: “Just because I got caught underage drinking doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be a good president.

“I feel like a lot students have issues with underage drinking here sometimes, but it doesn’t stop them from being successful.

“I made a mistake on my own accords and am learning from it and moving on.”

Jack is worried about the blame being misplaced, especially because of the rumors flying around on Yik Yak.

“I’ve just noticed how ruthless some of the sanctions are on organizations here and I don’t want any organization to take the fall for my actions. It was 100 percent my fault.”

We could all learn from how Jack is trying to look at the positive side of his Friday night. He thanks the immunity rule, which allows students to get help for underage drinkers who are too intoxicated without the fear of getting in legal trouble.

He said: “I like the immunity rule. It inspires students to help out others who need medical attention, and not worry about them getting in trouble for it.

“Sometimes students are scared to ask for medical attention because they don’t want to get themselves or their friends in trouble.”

None of this would be an issue if Jack weren’t running for the top political position at our university. Which leaves us to analyzing popular response to his Friday night antics.

However, the Yik Yak feed doesn’t really confirm whether or not people are excited about Jack’s inebriation or disappointed.

Public visibility is great! As many people like you, there will be an equal – if not larger – number of people out there who will take an anonymous shit on your face for any mistake that you make.

No, Jack. No one at Vanderbilt can relate to being drunk and going to the hospital.
