UW-Madison Twitter account gets hacked, puts thots on blast
The tweets were up for three hours before being removed
The official Twitter account for UW-Madison was hacked this morning around 6:30. Four unauthorized tweets were sent out before the university was able to remove them at 9:30am.
The first hacked tweet,”deadass fuck thots on god,” gathered nearly 5,000 retweets and favorites before being deleted. The other tweets included a link to a YouTube video and a mention linking back to a suspended Twitter account.
For three hours, students had a field day with the hacked tweets – and screenshots are forever.
The account has been restored, although the source of the hacking is still not known.
