University of Wisconsin-Madison is ranked in the top 100 schools in the world

In case you needed more proof the Badgers are better than the Gophers

As if we needed reminding how great UW-Madison is, we have officially been declared as one of the top 100 universities in the world.
The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us at 55th. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.
Unfortunately we fell two places from our 53rd ranking last year, but we still ranked ahead of  Minnesota by over 100 places. We also beat Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. We even beat the Ivy League school Dartmouth, which came in at just 169th.
MIT, Stanford and Harvard all took the top spots for another year running.
The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
