We found old pictures of Amber and HOLY HELL she’s changed

She looks SO different

The dust is beginning to settle on the biggest upset of probably ever – Greg O’Shea and Amber Rose Gill snatching the Love Island 2019 crown from Molly-Mae’s impeccably manicured hands.

We’ve spoken a lot about this queen before: About how she was the best Islander in the villa, about how she and Ovie probably could have won the show as mates, and about how her experience with Michael spoke to us all deep down.

But now, let’s get superficial. How has the Love Island winner changed over the years? Allow me to walk you through a timeline of Amber Rose Gill’s wild transformation:

This is the earliest picture we have of Amber

As you can see, young Amber was a bigger fan of bright red lipstick and rouge than she is now. Her hair is still big and curly, though.

The only other picture of her looking around this age is a collage of her and her ex-boyfriend:

She commented underneath saying she loved him. Awh.

Amber’s very first Instagram post

Amber has been very careful with what she puts on her Instagram. The first post where you can actually see all of her was uploaded in 2016. As you can see, this is more like the girl we ended up seeing on Love Island 2019.

If you’re curious, the very first ‘gram she uploaded was a picture of her dog:

The person running her social media tweeted the photo of 16-year-old Amber with straight hair (after widespread demand apparently) with the caption: “For everyone asking, here’s a pic of Amber with straight hair… you’re welcome!”

This is Amber before she spent eight weeks tanning in Mallorca

This was the first we saw of Amber Rose Gill, in an interview released in the weeks leading up to the show. In case you’ve already forgotten, she said: “I don’t even have to say I’m living my best life, because you can see that I am.

“I do like to get my own way most of the time.

“I think I eat boys for breakfast because I fall too hard too quickly. They don’t know how to cope. I don’t know why.”

She continued: “I wouldn’t message a boy on Instagram, because I think that’s beggy.

“I’ve never been rejected in my life. I don’t know what I’d do – I’d be shook.

“Actually I once said I cried over a boy but a friend corrected us. It was because my eyelash wouldn’t stick on that I was crying.”

Now that Love Island is over, this is what Amber looks like

The clip below is the last time we saw Amber on our screens, as she was winning Love Island:

The 21-year-old has since returned from Mallorca, after presumably having spent 24 hours being coached about the realities of post-villa fame.

She’s been pictured in the airport with Greg, looking much more tanned than she did eight weeks ago. Oh yeah, she’s also £25k richer. Not a bad glow up, all things considered.

What’s that? You want more Love Island content even thought the show is OVER? Fine, read these:
