Ranked: The Islanders who have the most Instagram followers now
That 50k is a drop in the ocean
Amber and Greg won Love Island 2019. But we all know the real winners are whoever gains the most Instagram followers after the show. Forget love, they all go in the villa for the Insta fame anyway. Here are all the Love Island Instagrams, ranked by who has the most followers now.
1. Molly-Mae Hague – 2.5 million followers
Handle: @mollymaehague
Molly-Mae Hague was an Instagram influencer before she entered the villa, so it's only right her Insta has the biggest following of all the Islanders. She's been a favourite throughout.
She entered the villa with 150k, so has gained around 2.35 million during her time on Love Island. Her large following is said to be one of the reasons she was scouted for the show.
2. Amber Gill – 2.2 million followers
Handle: @amberrosegill
Amber may have won the show, but she didn't quite win the Instagram ranking. She's 300k short of runner-up Molly-Mae Hague.
When Amber entered the villa she had 30.6k so she's gained over two million during her time in the villa.
3. Tommy Fury – 2.2 million followers
Handle: @tommytntfury
Tommy Fury was the most followed Islander out of the 12 originals. He's now been overtaken by his girlfriend Molly-Mae and the winner Amber.
4. Maura Higgins – 1.6 million followers
Handle: @maurahiggins
Grid-girl Maura was pretty well established with 40k followers before she entered the villa. Since being on Love Island she has already gained over 1.5 million followers. She came fourth on the show, and is currently fourth in the Love Island Instagrams ranking.
5. Ovie Soko – 1.6 million followers
Handle: @oviesoko
When Ovie entered the villa he had his own Wikipedia page, he's a pretty big deal. He deserves no less than to be in the top five followed Islanders on Instagram. He was the best Islander we've ever had, the true winner.
6. Lucie Donlan – 1.4 million followers
Handle: @lucierosedonlan
Out of the original 12 Islanders, Lucie started with the second highest follower count. She was only topped by Tommy Fury. When she entered the villa she had 69k.
Considering she was dumped from the island midway through the show she's done pretty well to be so high up in the Insta rankings. She's already using her follower count by joining the spon-con bandwagon, classic.
7. Curtis Pritchard – 1.3 million followers
Handle: @curtispritchard12
Professional dancer Curtis was the first confirmed 2019 Islander. He was already (slightly) famous before he entered the villa and had 65.2k followers. Now he's at 1.3 million, 300k behind Maura who he left the villa coupled up with.
8. Michael Griffiths – 1.2 million followers
Handle: @mac_griffiths_
Despite his incredible downfall on the show, Michael has still managed to come out of the villa with over a million followers. I mean, he did start a LOT of drama, so he'll probably be quite interesting to spy on now the show is over.
Michael had 24.2k followers when he entered the villa.
9. Anna Vakili – 1.2 million followers
Handle: @annavakili_
Anna had the final laugh between herself and Jordan, because she has double the amount of Instagram followers than him now. She also seems to have deleted any couple pictures of the two of them that were posted when they were in the villa together. ?
Anna had a hefty 61.7k followers when she entered the villa, so her account has grown by just over 1.1 million so far.
10. Amy Hart – 1.1 million followers
Handle: @amyhartxo
After deciding to quit the Love Island villa over the drama between her and Curtis, Amy has been living her best life. She's been doing shoots, interviews and has been on Loose Women. It's no wonder she's got over a million followers.
The beauty pageant star and cabin manager for British Airways had 19.5k followers when she entered the villa.
11. Anton Danyluk – 1.1 million followers
Handle: @anton_danyluk
Anton just missed the final, and he just missed the top 10 in the Love Island Instagrams ranking too. His first Insta since he left the villa is everything you would expect from him.
12. Greg O'Shea – 937k followers
Handle: @gregoshea
Greg WON the show, is insanely good looking and the memes on Twitter were swooning over him calling him the "perfect man". Yet he only has 937k followers??!! Where is the justice!!!
13. Yewande Biala – 804k followers
Handle: @yewande_biala
Yewande was the fifth Islander to leave the 2019 villa, so over 800k followers is a pretty solid result. Yewande had 18.7k Instagram followers when she entered the villa.
14. Joe Garratt – 714k followers
Handle: @josephgarratt
Joe had 16.4k followers when he entered the Love Island villa. He was only in the villa for just over two weeks, but has gained 700k followers.
15. Belle Hassan – 721k followers
Handle: @bellehassan
Belle was just short of the final, and is 400k short of the follower count of Anton who she was coupled up with. For an Islander that joined in Casa Amor, that is pretty good going.
16. India Reynolds – 669k followers
Handle: @lovefromreyn
India may have come third, but she wasn't on the show for long. She left with Ovie, who has nearly a million more Instagram followers than her.
17. Jordan Hames – 633k followers
Handle: @jxrdanhames
Jordan's first Insta since he left the villa obviously had to feature his cross-the-body bumbag, which is clearly empty.
Some honourable mentions
Not all of the Islanders have reach such high heights of Instagram followers. But some that have still done alright for themselves include: Chris with 557k, Joanna with 521k, Sherif with 497k, Arabella with 454k, Callum with 368k, Francesca with 268k, Harley with 204k and Tom with 130k.
All follower counts were correct at time of publication. Love Island contestant's follower counts are expected to continue going up A LOT.
