Molly-Mae has revealed the mole she had removed was cancerous
In a video she says she cried after realising ‘I was walking round with skin cancer on my leg’
Hayley SoenLove Island star Molly-Mae Hague has revealed the mole she had removed from her leg last month was cancerous.
In an 18-minute-long video uploaded to her YouTube channel called “I FOUND OUT MY MOLE WAS CANCEROUS”, she shares the moment she found out the news.
She first uploaded a picture of the mole to her Instagram story, saying: “Get your moles checked people! It is so unbeliveably important. Never ignore changes to your body.” She goes on to explain she had a third opinion on the mole from a doctor who told her she needed to have it removed.

The video on her YouTube channel goes through everything that happened, from her first consultations, to having the mole removed and finding out what it was.
After the procedure, Molly-Mae said: “I had the mole removed, the removal was fine. I got the call today, and he’s told me it is a malignant melanoma. That’s skin cancer basically, which is obviously petrifying, and shocking, and scary. I don’t even know what to really think or say.”
She explains that initially doctors told her it was nothing to worry about, adding: “I’m so upset and angry. I was walking around with skin cancer on my leg.”

Molly-Mae found out the news 12 days after the removal, whilst she was on a trip to Venice. She found out she will need to have more surgery and treatment.
She added: “I’ve already cried down the phone to every single family member. But I’m just trying to stay really strong.” She says she thought about stopping the shoot she had travelled to Venice for, but she decided to push on and carry on with work.

Later in the vlog, Molly-Mae says that some doctors are still questioning whether the mole is cancerous or not, so it is currently undergoing further testing in America before she has any more treatment.
