TOWIE marriages: These are the cast members who have said ‘I do’

TOWIE isn’t always known for its romantic moments, instead it’s more fights, breakups and cheating. But throughout the years there has actually been a number of TOWIE marriages when ex cast members tied the knot to their loved ones.

So far there’s been six TOWIE weddings which have featured in magazines and even had their own TV specials. There’s also been a number of TOWIE proposals and many of the ex cast members are waiting for the pandemic to be over so they can have their dream wedding day.

These are all TOWIE stars who have got married or are currently engaged:

Mark Wright

TOWIE OG Mark Wright has been married to Michelle Keegan for nearly six years. They first met in 2012 on holiday in Dubai and just nine months later the couple were engaged.

Their wedding day was on 24th May 2015 and of course it was the cover of Hello! Magazine. They got married in Suffolk and Mark had just finished his time on Strictly Come Dancing so they performed a dance routine to “Time of Your Life”.

Mark and Michelle had two honeymoons, the first to the Maldives and the second to Dubai, where his ex Lauren Goodger also happened to be on holiday. Awkward.

Billie Faiers married her long term partner and father of her children Greg Shepard in 2019. Their wedding was in the Maldives and was the focus of a 90 minute special on ITVBe for Billie and Sam’s show The Mummy Diaries. Billie and Greg had been engaged for five years before they said “I do”.

Their wedding was stunning and attended by fellow TOWIE cast member Ferne McCann but was also full of drama. At one point in the show Billie feared her step father would not be able to attend the wedding due to being kicked off a flight.

There were then reports that other people staying at the resort were complaining about the “carnage” the wedding guests caused, a claim Billie and Sam have denied.

Dan Osborne

Constantly on and off couple Dan Osborne and Jacqueline Jossa have been married for four years. Dan had proposed two years previously on a holiday in Greece.

Their wedding took place on June 24th 2017 at a country house in Cheshire with their daughter Ella as a flower girl and Dan’s son Teddy as a page boy. The only TOWIE cast member who went to the wedding was Arg, but there was plenty of Eastenders cast there.

Though they were only married four years ago Dan and Jacqueline have reportedly been considering renewing their vows once lockdown restrictions are lifted in June.

Maria Fowler

Maria Fowler was only on TOWIE for a few seasons but she’s still pretty memorable. Maria married her long term partner Kelvin Batey in 2019.

She broke the news on Instagram and said it was an intimate ceremony and she would not be sharing any further details.

The two have two children together and Kelvin proposed in Paris in 2017. The wedding didn’t appear to have any TOWIE guests but Chanelle Hayes from Big Brother did attend the wedding.

2019 was a big year for TOWIE weddings with Kate Wright marrying Rio Ferdinand in September 2019. They had been dating for two years before their incredible wedding in Turkey.

Rio’s two sons walked Kate half way down the aisle and Rio’s daughter Tia was the Maid of Honour. If that wasn’t cute enough, Rio then surprised Kate by having Ashanti come to the wedding and perform.

Ex TOWIE cast member Lydia Bright and her mother Debbie attended the wedding, the only other cast member to go was Saffron Lempriere.

Mark Wright’s sister Jess announced her engagement last March to William Lee-Kemp. The two are thought to have met through Mark and William owns an audio visual company. William popped the question whilst the two were skiing in the Alps.

Jess and William got married recently in Palma, Mallorca where Jess wore three wedding dresses to mark the occasion.

Their reception was held in a Spanish castle and Jess had 12 bridesmaids including her sister Natalya and sister-in-law Michelle Keegan.

Mario Falcone was planning on marrying his fiancée and mother of his child Becky Miesner in Italy last year. However because of the pandemic they were forced to postpone.

The couple are now planning on getting married this year in June once lockdown restrictions are lifted. Mario and Becky have been together for five years, but known each other since they were 18 and Mario proposed to Becky after one year of dating.

Mario Falcone’s ex and TOWIE legend Lucy Mecklenburgh is currently engaged to actor Ryan Thomas after he proposed in Italy in 2019.

The couple have been dating for a number of years and have one son together called Roman. They are currently delaying plans for their wedding due to the pandemic.

Danielle joins Jess Wright in being another TOWIE star who got engaged in 2020. Danielle announced her engagement to her childhood sweetheart Tommy Edney whilst they were on holiday in Dubai.

Danielle recently gave birth to their first child, a daughter called Orla. Though the pandemic may have delayed plans for a wedding Danielle has already asked her ex TOWIE cast member Ferne McCann to be a bridesmaid.

The first TOWIE LGBTQ+ engagement is between iconic cast member Harry Derbridge and his partner Dean Rowland.

The couple got engaged in 2019 and have matching rings. Harry’s TOWIE cast member and cousin Amy Childs threw them a surprise engagement party and hinted she wanted her daughter Polly to be a bridesmaid for the wedding.
