You know the one. “Are you a Nicki fan?” “Am I a Nicki fan? Pull up in the Sri Lanka, what?!” whilst the crowd clap the error like an enthusiastic army blissfully unaware of the error. It’s golden, and everyone’s making their own version and the sound has gone viral. But where is the “are you a Nicki fan” TikTok sound from originally?
It’s from the Wendy Williams show!
The now iconic, timeless clip is originally from The Wendy Williams Show. Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo spouted the error when being interviewed on the sofa by guest host Michael Rapaport (Wendy Williams is still off ill). Instead of saying the correct lyrics of “Pull up in the monster, automobile gangsta / With a bad bitch that came from Sri Lanka”, Wendy Osefo just went for the simple (but wrong) “Pull up in the Sri Lanka!”
