In a world of poke bowls, impossible burgers and acai breakfasts; Greggs is like that one mate who never changes. Sure, they might go through a vegan phase now-and-again, but ultimately you know exactly what you’re getting when you meet them for lunch once every two weeks.
The pastries are decadent, the decor is slightly sad and it’s not exactly The Ritz – but that’s okay. The Greggs menu will forever be iconic.

1. Classic sausage roll

Are you sure it gets any better than the old, reliable sausage roll? It’s flaky, buttery and warm – like a little hug in a wrapper. I still get excited when I see those spots of grease dripping through the paper bag. Has to be up there with the best Greggs menu items.
2. Steak bake

They must be lacing that gravy with something delicious, because I simply can’t get enough of these things. The steak bake is almost as iconic as the sausage roll – great, if you fancy something a little different.
3. Pizza slice

It doesn’t get more comforting than a shitty slice of pizza – I’d take this over Franco Manca, any day.
4. Sausage, bean and cheese melt

It’s breakfast. In a pastry. What’s not to love?
5. Chicken bake

Not everyone likes a bit of beef – and the chicken bake is just as good, to be fair. The sauce is so creamy and moreish, I could genuinely eat about five in one sitting.
6. Vegan sausage roll

This was a revolutionary act for the plant-based cause. The vegan sausage roll definitely doesn’t taste the same as a classic one, but it’s still amazing nonetheless. You definitely feel a bit more like you’re doing something for the *planet* when you’re tucking into one.
7. Yum yum

A childhood classique. How do they get the icing like that??? Simply unbeatable.
8. Cream eclair

Since Greggs discontinued the jam-and-cream donut (remember? The one with the fake cherry on top?), we’ve been left with this. It’s alright, I guess.
9. Pink jammy donut

Your mum would probably let you take this in your packed lunch as a treat on Fridays. A nostalgia trip glazed in glossy, pink icing.
