It’s been roughly three weeks since the world was introduced to The Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev and his bodyguard Peter Kaluski. Since the film dropped on Netflix, Simon Leviev has pretty much denied everything and said it’s given him a bad reputation. And his bodyguard Peter has jumped at his chance of saying the same.

If you’ve seen Tinder Swindler then you’ll know Peter featured as Simon Leviev’s personal security guard. He’s claiming the Netflix producers have made it look like he was involved in the scams – his team also think it’s hurting his reputation so they’ve fired off a cease and desist letter to Netflix. On top of this, Peter has also demanded a public apology and a payment of £4.1 million.

Peter’s cease and desist is a request sent to Netflix asking to remove him from the documentary and any future content it puts out. In a letter to Netflix obtained by TMZ, Peter’s attorney demands £4.1 million from Netflix and asks the site to remove The Tinder Swindler as well as issue a public apology. Peter insists he never did anything wrong and allegedly he is also waiting for Shimon Hayut (Simon Leviev) to pay him. He claims he is approximately he is owed $11,000 by Shimon.

According to Peter’s lawyer, he had no part in any scam, and he is now suing for breaching his “human rights”, which have led to him suffering mentally. Speaking to LADbible, Joanna Parafianowicz said nobody reached out and spoke to her client ahead of the documentary being made. “No one has the right to deprive a person of basic rights, such as the right to image and the right to the protection of personal data,” she said. “The movie doesn’t tell my client’s story, and it must be underlined – no charges have been ever brought against him regarding this case. He’s never been involved in Simon’s businesses. However, by many viewers he’s being associated with Simon Leviev’s behaviour.

Where is Peter now?

At the end of the documentary, it says both Peter and Simon Leviev’s business partner Avishkay have never been charged for being involved with Simon. And then on the supporting podcast Ayleen said Peter disappeared around six months into her relationship with Simon saying “he quit” his role as a security guard. Ayleen said she thinks Peter may have “genuinely been misled” by Simon too. She recalls hearing a conversation between Simon and Peter, where Peter was saying he hadn’t been paid by Simon. After he quit, Simon told Ayleen that Peter had gone to work for their enemies because he had been offered €500k by them, so Simon let him go.

Netflix is yet to respond to the letter from Peter’s lawyer.
