Milani Cosmetics speaks out against claims Amber Heard âused palette to cover bruisesâ
âLet the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017 đâ
Live: This is a developing story and is being continuously updated.
A TikTok spokesperson for Milani Cosmetics has disputed claims that Amber Heard used its products to cover bruising.
The high street brand was cited by Heardâs lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, during the ongoing defamation court case between the actress and her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. The Pirates of the Caribbean star is suing Heard over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she reportedly accused him of abuse.
Bredehoft used Milaniâs All In One Correcting Kit as evidence during the opening statements, claiming Heard had used the concealer on alleged injuries before her 2016 divorce. On Friday (22nd April), Milani spoke out against these claims.
âThis is what she used,â Bredehoft said, holding up the palette to the court. âShe became very adept at it. Youâre going to hear the testimony from Amber about how she had to mix the different colours for the different days of the bruises as they developed in the different colouring and how she would use (it) to touch those up to be able to cover those.â
The official Milani Cosmetics TikTok account posted a video contradicting the claims: âYou asked us⌠let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017! đâ they wrote in the caption.
International Super Spy from Nick Jr. show The Backyardigans plays in the background as the following statement is shown on screen: âTake note: Alleged abuse was around 2014-2016. (Depp and Heard) got divorced in 2016. Makeup palette release date: 2017.â
