There’s nothing that unites the people of the UK more than the weather. Usually it’s the rain we’re complaining about but this week there’s only one thing that the British public are talking about, and that’s the heatwave. With temperatures reaching record highs, people have wiped Argos out of all their fans and are stapling their curtains shut.

But with heat as extreme as this there’s only one thing that will offer any relief, and that’s complaining about it on Twitter. These are the best memes about the current heatwave proving that British people just really aren’t cut out for the heat:
