How the hell did we forget Gavin and Stacey characters were named after serial killers?
Oh my christ
Gavin and Stacey is truly a work of art and there’s nothing the British public love more than rewatching it over and over again. Fans of the show have discovered a huge hidden detail and it’s safe to say we’re all shook.
The show is honestly sensational despite there only being 21 episodes in total. Every ep gave us a laugh a minute. It’s been 15 years since Gavin and Stacey started in 2007 but for some reason so many of us still hadn’t clocked James Corden and Ruth Jones named the characters after notorious serial killers. Fred and Rose West, Peter Sutcliffe and Harold Shipman all had lowkey mentions through the loveable main characters in the show.
Thanks to TikTok it’s all blowing up again so here’s a rundown of all the links between our iconic characters and the serial killer surname.
