It’s a well known fact that a teen movie is only as good as the banging soundtrack that goes with it. Legally Blonde opening with Perfect Day by Hoku. Built This Way from Mean Girls. Placebo in Cruel Intentions. Do Revenge, the new Netflix smash film, well and truly understands the soundtrack assignment. With Este Haim doing the score and director Jenn Kaytin Robinson and Robert Lowry picking the soundtrack the music in this film pops off. Here’s the full song list in full.

Hayley Kiyoko is one of the most out and proud queer pop stars we have, and it’s great to see her open Do Revenge with her 2022 banger For the Girls. Bit of a titslapper, this one.

I always forget that before Robyn had her synthpop reinvention in 2005 she had a couple of dance pop / R&B tunes that slapped hard in the 90s. This one’s inclusion makes Do Revenge feel instantly nostalgic.
