New Netflix reality series sees people stay in America’s most haunted locations for 28 days
It’s creepy, but also extremely chaotic
I think if you asked a lot of people what their worst nightmare is, a lot would say they couldn’t think of anything worse than being forced to live in a haunted house. But that is pretty much the entire premise of new Netflix horror reality series, 28 Days Haunted.
The show, which has gone straight into the top 10 on Netflix, sees three teams each spend 28 days in some of America’s most haunted locations for a paranormal experiment based on the theories of Ed and Lorraine Warren. There are tears, jumpscares and *a lot* of screams. Here’s what you need to know about the show.

28 Days Haunted sees groups of people tasked to try and stay in the most haunted places in the US, for up to 28 days
During the new reality series, adventurous teams of paranormal investigators have been hand-picked and given the chance to participate in the most extreme experiment of all time. It basically tests them to see if any of the teams can last 28 days in a terrifying, haunted location. If they can, they’ll gain acclaim and recognition for being a part of the most important advancement in paranormal research in the last several decades.
But let’s be real, a lot of them end up getting mega creeped out, scream all the time, and cry. The show is six-episodes, and based on the theories of famous paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren. The couple has lead many investigations in the past, some of which have contributed to popular culture, such as The Conjuring.

What locations do they stay in?
The show was filmed across three different locations, known as the most haunted places in America. The places the teams visited were: Lumber Baron Inn in Denver, Madison Dry Goods in North Carolina, and Captain Grant’s Inn in Connecticut.
The Lumber Baron Inn and Gardens, a bed and breakfast and wedding venue, is a historic Victorian mansion. It’s believed to be haunted as it was reportedly where two teenage girls were murdered in 1970, and the case is unsolved. Madison Dry Goods is a store, that used to be a funeral home and hotel. When it was a funeral home, it reportedly homed the victims of one of the most notorious murders in the area – the Lawson family killings. Finally, Captain Grant’s Inn is also a bed and breakfast, which is a well-known ghost hunter hotspot. Many spirits are said to still be there, including the wife of one of the previous owners.
