Spoiler! For some it wasn’t very long x
Ekin-Su and Davide from Love Island 2022 split up after 11 months together, and 2023’s Samie and Tom lasted just one month. It seems like a lot of finalist couples from their respective seasons of Love Island are announcing they’re breaking up.
But, how long did all the other couples who made it right to the end and left the villa together last before calling it quits? Here is a rundown of every finalist couple, from each season of Love Island, and how long they were together before announcing they were breaking up.
Jess and and Max – series one winners
Broke up after six weeks.
Jessica Hayes and Max Morley were the first ever Love Island winners, back in 2015. Jessica and Max split just six weeks after they left the villa. To be precise, they lasted an entire 40 days after the date of the Love Island 2015 final.
Hannah and Jon – series one runners up
Broke up after nine months.
Hannah and Jon really looked like they’d go the distance, getting engaged after they left the first series of the show. However they broke up shortly after, after going on holiday together.
Cally and Luis – series one fourth place
Broke up after three years.
Cally and Luis, who both appeared on series one of Love Island back in 2015, were the first Love Island couple to have a baby. They had a baby girl called Vienna Morrison-Beech in May 2017, but announced they had split in 2018 after “a string of rows”.

Broke up after seven months.
Chris and Olivia’s breakup was one of the most explosive in Love Island history. They were reported to have had a string of arguments over different things, and broke up just before they were meant to have a TV show coming out together. Awkward.
Gabby and Marcel – series three third place
Broke up after just under a year.
Gabby and Marcel also had a sour breakup. They split up after Marcel cheated on Gabby whilst they were on holiday together. Texts emerged which appeared to show Marcel asking other women to meet him in their hotel, after Gabby had gone to sleep. Marcel then admitted to cheating, and said he regretted his actions.
Dani and Jack – series four winners
Broke up after six months.
Jack and Dani were the nation’s sweethearts after they won the 2018 series. However, six months later, they broke up. Jack and Dani first announced their split on the 6th December 2018.

There were loads of rumours circulating around the time winter Islanders Siannise and Luke T broke up. You have to hand it to Faye and Teddy, after all they went through in the villa, they lasted the longest out of all the finalists that year. They lasted just under two years together.
In a post signed off with her dog, Faye said: “I wanted to let you know that after lots of time and consideration, Teddy and I have decided to go our separate ways. Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and I want to thank you for your continued support as we start new chapters.”
Ekin-Su and Davide – series eight winners
2022 winners Ekin-Su and Davide split up 11 months after winning the show together, and tbh, I never saw this coming. Davide said on Instagram: “Ekin-Su and I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best. I would like for everybody to respect this decision during this difficult time. I will continue to support Ekin in anyway possible.”

Broke up after one month.
Samie and Tom met in the South Africa villa and finished in third position. Shortly after heading back home to the UK they made it official, but around a month later they called it quits.
