Hannah Van De PeerYou’ve seen them all over your FYP; you probably spent the entirety of Boxing Day scrolling through them, and now it’s time to address them. The “turning my mum into me” TikTok trend is one of the best things I’ve seen in AGES.
Basically, teenage girls are lending their mums (typically seen in pyjamas, sportswear or those middle-class home-counties sweaters) an outfit from their own wardrobe. We see the mums transform from homely, middle-aged women to literal, gorgeous, 20-year-olds.
It essentially gives me hope that I’ll still be able to pull off a fishnet tight, hooped earring or Afghan coat when I’m 55. So, try not to get addicted, as we go through the 30 best “turning my mum into me” transformation TikToks:
